New Delhi, Jan 17: A man allegedly killed his wife and an 18-month-old son in front of two other children of his in Jahangirpuri area of northwest Delhi. The incident came to light when the accused brother came to the couple’s house and failed to get any response even after repeated knocks.
Sunita (30) and her son were allegedly attacked with a blunt object multiple times by Prakash in the presence of two other minor children of the couple, police told PTI.
On receiving the complaint, the police reached the spot and found the bodies and two children, aged seven and four. The police have claimed that the elder child has accused their father of killing Sunita.
Notably, the couple got married in 2005 and would regularly fight over petty issues. The police officials even told PTI that the woman had filed a case of dowry harassment against her husband however, the couple reached a settlement later. The woman lived away from her husband for a year and had recently returned.
Meanwhile, the accused is still at large and the murder weapon is also missing.
