Summary
Qualcomm’s Advanced Content Group is seeking a game designer who will work directly with our development team, design leads, and art director, to help create, write, and script new games/levels as part of a cohesive, directed gameplay experience. Ideal candidates will have an excellent understanding of gameplay balance, as well as a good sense for what makes an item attractive and fun to players. The ideal artist for this role has created or written games, levels or map designs, mods, quests, encounters, MMO’s, or any other gameplay experiences that demonstrate their instincts for storytelling via gameplay.
Daily duties and responsibilities:
-Pitching concepts, designs, and full proposals to project leads/Director
-Collaborating with other designers, engineers, animators, artists, sound designers and production staff to create immersive experiences through a compelling story to showcase state of the art mobile devices.
-Review design work at various stages of development to ensure that the execution matches the original vision, goals, and necessary requirements
-Ability to self-manage to meet deadlines with the team; actively adapting to new requirements that may change mid project for necessary device demonstrations for upcoming event demos
