SAN FABIAN, Pangasinan, Philippines — The bodies of two men who drowned on a beach in this town during a family outing on Sunday were recovered on Monday.

Call center agent Joshua Javier, 22, was caught by a fisherman’s net off Barangay Nibaliw West at about 7:50 a.m. 

The body of his brother Michael Angelo Javier, 16, was found at around 11 a.m.

Initial investigation showed the victims were having a drinking spree before they went swimming.

In Quezon, Rio Alexa Ortiz, 3, fell into the river while playing with her brother in Sitio Lumbo, Barangay Putol, Dolores also on Monday. She was pronounced dead on arrival in a hospital.
