Alexis Sanchez set to join Man Utd after Henrikh Mkhitaryan approves Arsenal move

HENRIKH MKHITARYAN has agreed to leave Manchester United for Arsenal because he feels there is no future for him at Old Trafford, reports say.

Alexis Sanchez looks set to finally leave Arsenal for Manchester United

Manchester United star Mkhitaryan is wanted by Arsenal as part of a deal that will see Alexis Sanchez move to Old Trafford as his replacement.

The Armenia international has blown hot and cold during his time with the Red Devils, shining in Europe but often struggling with the physical demands of the Premier League.

But, despite that, Arsenal want him at the Emirates.

And the Daily Mail say the 28-year-old has agreed to leave Manchester United for the Gunners despite initially having doubts about a move to north London.

It is said Mkhitaryan’s state of mind is key, with the player also eyeing an improvement on his £140,000 a week wages.

Though the forward has huge talent, he has never quite been able to prove his worth to Jose Mourinho.

As a result, Mourinho is happy to let him join a direct rival - particularly as it means securing Sanchez in return.

And the Daily Mail say a move is now on the verge of happening.

Meanwhile, speaking on Tuesday, the player’s agent Mino Raiola confirmed Sanchez would only move to United if Mkhitaryan went to Arsenal.

“This is a great deal for Arsenal. They need better, younger players and they have to invest,” he said.

Arsenal will land Manchester United star Henrikh Mkhitaryan

“So it’s up to Arsenal to put a deal in place and right now a deal is a long way off.

“Manchester United are not going to sign Sanchez unless Mkhi agrees to join Arsenal.

“Sanchez is part of Mkhi’s deal. Not the other way around. Without him, Sanchez simply cannot go to United.

“Mkhi’s problems at Man Utd are purely related to playing football. He has no problem with the manager. It’s not personal.

“Mkhi has not decided yet. He is going to do what is best for him. He has two-and-a-half years left on his contract. He doesn’t have to leave.”
