It’s that time of the year when school students get an opportunity to test their knowledge in a fun-filled manner.
The 18th edition of The Hindu Young World Quiz, a popular event among schoolchildren, will be held on January 20 at Hotel Apollo Dimora, opposite to the Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station in Thampanoor.
The event, powered by Eveready Industries India Ltd., is open to students in two categories – junior (classes 4 to 6) and senior (7 to 9).
Each team should consist of two members. From a school, any number of teams could take part in the competition by registering online and paying a registration fee of ₹200 per team (₹100 per member). The team members should be from the same school and category.
But for the final six teams, a maximum of only two teams from the same school will be permitted.
Apart from exciting prizes for winners and certificates for participants, there are prizes for members of the audience too for instant answers. Arrow Publications is the knowledge partner for the event. Hotel Apollo Dimora is the venue and snack partner.
Registrations
Registrations could be done online at http://www.thehindu.com/ywquiz.
The spot registration for juniors will start at 8.30 a.m. and that of seniors at 12.30 p.m.
The competition for the junior and senior categories will begin at 10 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. respectively. The prize distribution will be held on the same day at 4 p.m.
