Since then, Puel has arrived at the King Power Stadium and has always maintained the view his player would stay.
And today, when asked how much Mahrez was worth, the Frenchman launched a stunning valuation on the 26-year-old.
"Perhaps; maybe in the summer he will cost even more than £100m," he said.

But Puel again is convinced his player is going nowhere.
"He improved a lot since I came here and he continued to develop his play," he continued.
"More anticipation, reading of the play and good quality with the ball.
"It's important he continues his hard work. It's a good feeling with him and with the national team he is a valuable player."
