PATIALA: Two sons of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) councillor from Samana town of Patiala has been booked for criminal intimidation and hurting modesty of a 14-year-old minor girl. Police are however yet to nab both the accused involved in the case.
The victim girl had lodged a complaint with the police over this matter against the young accused in their twenties.
Bhim Sain, the father of the victim, told police that while her daughter was returning home from tuition the accused held her arm and abuses her too on the evening of January 9. He alleged that his minor daughter was being followed by the accused from last few days while on the of crime they wanted to take benefit of the dark evening.
However, Raj Kumar, sitting Municipal Councillor of Samana, claimed that the case against his both the sons is registered at the behest of a sitting
Congress MLA Rajinder Singh Kaka to create pressure on him. Raj Kumar claimed that he is with the SAD (B) for a long time and has been elected as MC once whereas his wife
Sheela Rani is elected as MC twice from the town.
Raj Kumar, said, "This is a clear case of a political vendetta against me as the ruling
Congress MLA wanted me to join his party and I refused some time back. Already we are fighting two cases in the court against the family of a girl who had alleged molestation. My both the sons,
Ashok Kumar and Gautam Kumar are married and have children. Both of them runs their own business. Ashok 's wife is also a cousin of the girl who had filed the complaint. They also want to create a pressure on us as we are already fighting in the court including a case of defamation. The Akali workers are gathered here in Samana and soon we will announce to hold a protest against this."
Victim's uncle Satish Kumar claimed that police did not register a case for a long time and compelled them for a compromise.

Labh Singh said, "I have never even seen this councillor who has been levelling these allegations on me. A few days back the issue came to my knowledge that the sons of this councillor are torturing a family for a long time and recently they had abused and molested the minor girl. During the regime of SAD -BJP a lot of many false cases were registered in Samana but I work on a line that never to indulge in this petty politics of cases."

Karnail Singh said, "The case against the accused has been registered under sections 341 (wrongful restraint), 354 (criminal force outraging woman's modesty), 506 (criminal intimidation), 509 (words insulting modesty of a woman) of Indian Penal Code and section 8 of Protection of Children against Sexual Offenses however the accused are yet to be nabbed. The victim had given us a statement on January 15 following which immediately we have registered a case against the accused."
