Snapped: Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker square off in first press conference

ANTHONY JOSHUA and Joseph Parker went head-to-head for the first time today.

“On Sunday it was confirmed Joseph Parker would be Anthony Joshua’s 21st opponent”

On Sunday it was confirmed Parker would be Joshua’s 21st opponent, with a bout set for March 31 at the Principality Stadium.

As well as Joshua’s IBF, WBA and IBO titles, the Kiwi’s WBO belt will also be on the line in a crunch unification clash in Cardiff.

Parker has triumphed in all of his 24 professional fights, winning 18 by knockout.

Like Joshua, who boasts a record of 20 wins and as many knockouts, the 26-year-old is yet to taste defeat - with his most recent victory coming against Tyson Fury’s cousin, Hughie, at the Manchester Arena in September.

His fearsome opponent is coming into this fight on the back of a stoppage win over Carlos Takam in October, who Parker too brushed aside back in 2016.

And ahead of their eagerly-anticipated bout, Joshua and Parker were pictured squaring off at their first official press conference today.
