Brimming Horn Meadery is collaborating with post-metal band Junius for a new bourbon barrel mead.
The mead will be called "Eternal Rituals" with 11-14 percent alcohol by volume and based on Junius’ album, "Eternal Rituals for the Accretion of Light.” Eternal Rituals is made from North Dakota clover honey, a light floral honey with a hint of spice. After fermentation the mead was placed in bourbon barrels for more than three months. The bourbon barrels come from a distillery based out of New York, which impart hints of vanilla, caramel and spice. There will be 180 bottles available.
“Eternal Rituals” was released Jan. 12 and is available at the Brimming Horn tasting room, 28615 Lewes-Georgetown Highway, Milton; and at vinoshipper.com and brimminghornmeadery.com.
