Lafayette Parish School System schools and offices will remain closed Wednesday because of winter weather.
The closures are because of the chance of frozen precipitation on roads, bridges and overpasses, as well as single-digit wind chills expected Wednesday morning.
All local schools were also closed Tuesday because of winter weather conditions.
There was no immediate word on when schools will re-open.
In addition, all three campuses of Ascension Episcopal School will remain closed Wednesday. Parents are asked to check their email regularly for further updates.
St. Landry Parish and Iberia Parish schools will also be closed Wednesday.
The Academy of the Sacred Heart and Berchmans Academy in Grand Coteau will be closed Wednesday.
