Leonard 'Lenny' S. Crapis Rochester Surrounded by his loving family, Lenny Crapis, 79, was escorted to his new home on January 13, 2018, where he was met by Jesus and his loved ones that have gone on before him. A pillar of his community, Lenny truly left his mark in his hometown of Rochester, Pa. A 1959 graduate of Rochester High School, Lenny began a lifelong career as an entrepreneur and successful businessman. For 55 years, he owned and operated Hair Unlimited in Rochester, Pa. His influence on the community also extended to being an active member of the YMCA, Beaver County Vo-tech, Sponsor of the American Cancer Society, American Hair Loss Council, and the Rochester Chamber of Commerce, in which he was recognized and awarded for his long tenured business. Anyone who knew Lenny would know one of his passions was the game of basketball. He spent decades on the court serving as a head coach at Rochester High School, Rhema Christian School, the 5th & 6th grade team at Monaca, and Beaver Valley Christian Academy. Lenny is the son of the late Dominic and Theresa Crapis. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Louis Crapis, Rose Johns, Josephine Ecimovic, Dorothy Zito, Dolores Lyons, and Rich Crapis. He is survived by his sister, Carmella Matsook of Rochester. Lenny was happily married to his wife, Sandy (Rich) Crapis for 42 years. He was a devoted father to his daughters, Tracy (Jim) Burgess of Michigan, LeeAnn (John) Alexander of Ohio, Carrie (Jason) Stiger of Brighton Twp., Carly (John) Klein of Rochester, and Lindsey (Michael) Baker of Rochester. Lenny was also the proud grandfather of Josh (Brynn) Himes, Mitchell (Rachel) Himes, Jessica (Grayson) Cole, Jason (Uliset) Alexander, Jenna Alexander, Brayden Stiger, and Alexa Stiger, as well as four great- grandchildren, Silvio, Sammy, Kellan, and Jizelle. Lenny is also survived by a host of loving nieces and nephews. As a typical Italian father, there was nothing that brought Lenny more joy than being around his family. His influence and legacy can not only be seen in and through all of his children and grandchildren, but through the countless lives he has touched along the way. Friends will be received on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the NOLL FUNERAL HOME INC., 333 Third St., Beaver.
