Local area schools will be closed tomorrow because of potentially icy roads from the cold front.
Terrebonne, Lafourche and Assumption parish public schools will be closed tomorrow. Messiah Montessori School in Houma and all schools under the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux will also be closed.
All Lafourche Parish School Board committee meetings for this evening and tomorrow have been postponed.
Additionally, Assumption Parish public schools and offices will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. today because of possible ice on bridges and roads. All schools and offices will also be closed tomorrow and Thursday.
The Assumption Parish school board meeting scheduled for tomorrow evening will be rescheduled until next Wednesday, January 24.
