OVERS 91.3: And that's that, last man Lungi Ngidi falls trying to heave on over long-off and South Africa are all out for 258 in their second dig, but they have managed to set India a record target of 287 at the Centurion

Final session of Day 4 starts and Faf Du Plessis is stepping on the gas

TEA: After India wrested back the momentum in the morning session courtesy Mohammed Shami's triple-strike, South Africa seemed to be edging ahead with a sedate second session on day four of the second India vs South Africa Test at the Supersports Park in Centurion on Tuesday. Faf du Plessis (37*) was in the thick of the action and he, along with Vernon Philander, blunted the Indian attack for most part of the session.

OVERS 76: Ishant finds the outside edge of Keshav Maharaj, simple catch for Parthiv Patel and South Africa eight down for 215. Lead of 243

OVERS 74: Finally a wicket for India. Ishant Sharma gets rid of Vernon Philander with a short delviery. Philander tried to get on top of the delivery but could not control it and an easy catch for Virat Kohli at sqaure leg. The partnership with du Plessis yielded 46 runs in 156 deliveries. SA 211/6, lead by 239 runs


OVERS 69: No hurry for Faf du Plessis and Vernon Philander as they continue to frustrate the Indian bowlers. Hardik Pandya and Ishant Sharma managed a few close calls, but for now South Africa's blockathon prevails. 10 more overs before new ball will be available.

OVERS 42.4: With a four South African captain Faf du Plessis opens his account and then takes a single off the next to bring up the 150 runs. Score 150/3, lead by 178 runs.

OVERS 41.1: OUT! Mohammed Shami strikes as AB de Villiers is out caught behind on 80. Score 144/3, lead by 172 runs

OVERS 37.3: FIFTY no. Dean Elgar in Test cricket, reaches the milestone with a four. Score 127/2, lead by 155 runs

BREAKING: India captain Virat Kohli has been fined 25 per cent match fee and receives one demerit point for breaching ICC Code of Conduct on Day 3.

OVERS 32.1: AB de Villiers brings up the 100 runs for South Africa. The lead is now 128 runs. Score 100/2

South Africa take 118-run lead

After a valiant 153 from Virat Kohli and a crucial 38 from Ravichandran Ashwin formed the crux of India's batting on Day 3, India did have the momentum taking the field for the second time in the second India vs South Africa Test at the Supersports Park in Centurion on Monday and Jasprit Bumrah rode on that momentum reducing South Africa for 3 for 2 to raise the Indian hopes. However, South Africa's crisis man, AB de Villiers, was at again. In company of a feisty Dean Elgar, de Villiers steadied the ship for his team as SA finished the day at 90 for two.
