Market Now: BSE Smallcap index down 2%; Indosolar plunges 10%
Tata Motors, Tata Steel and YES Bank were trading among the top laggards in the Sensex kitty of stocks.
NEW DELHI: The BSE Smallcap index was trailing benchmark Sensex in Tuesday's trade.

At 11:10 hours, the BSE Smallcap index was 1.62 per cent down at 19,721, while the BSE Sensex was 0.08 per cent down at 34,815. The NSE Nifty50 was 0.18 per cent down at 10,722.

Shares of Indosolar (down 10 per cent), Jaypee Infratech (down 9.83 per cent), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals (down 8.80 per cent), JVL Agro Industries (down 8.28 per cent), Lycos Internet (down 8.20 per cent), Moschip Semiconductor Technology (down 7.66 per cent), Welspun Corp (down 7.13 per cent), Subex (down 6.91 per cent), N R Agarwal Industries (down 6.80 per cent), Unitech (down 6.66 per cent), Electrosteel Castings (down 6.57 per cent) and Som Distilleries & Breweries (down 6.44 per cent) plunged over 6 per cent in the smallcap index.

However, shares of Muthoot Capital Services (up 6.79 per cent), Prism Cement (up 6.47 per cent), Heidelberg Cement India (up 6.22 per cent), Mangalam Cement (up 5.85 per cent), RPG Life Sciences (up 5.69 per cent), Deccan Gold Mines (up 5.59 per cent), Cerebra Integrated Technologies (up 5.01 per cent), Binani Industries (up 5.00 per cent), Godawari Power & Ispat (up 5.00 per cent), DCW (up 4.99 per cent), Lanco Infratech (up 4.91 per cent) and Sri Adhikari Brothers Television Network (up 4.87 per cent) gained up to 6 per cent.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 14 were trading in the green, while 36 were in the red.

Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro and Infosys were leading the Sensex index.

Tata Motors, Tata Steel and YES Bank were trading among the top laggards in the Sensex kitty of stocks.
