After the rain subsided early Tuesday morning, fog and slick roads slowed traffic around the Bay Area.

On the Golden Gate Bridge, fog is currently affecting northbound and southbound lanes and causing delays for morning commuters.

An accident with injuries was reported around 6:35 a.m. on Westbound I-80 west of the Bay Bridge, California Highway Patrol said. The center divider was blocked and commuters should expect delays.

An overturned vehicle blocked the center divider on Westbound CA-4, east of Sycamore Ave., according to CHP.

Other accidents reported around the Bay Area include a crash in Pacifica, which blocked northbound lane on CA-1, north of Monterey Road, and an incident that blocked the right shoulder of Eastbound CA-37, west of Wilson Ave in Vallejo. CHP warned commuters to anticipate delays.

“We’re seeing low clouds and some fog,” said Will Pi, of the National Weather Service in Monterey. “But we haven’t seen any dense fog, just some because it’s been raining this morning.”

Pi cautioned that there is a lingering chance of rain Tuesday morning.

“Today will be mostly cloudy, maybe some clearing by late in the afternoon, and then should be mostly clear with some high clouds tonight and Wednesday,” Pi said, adding that people should expect highs in the upper 50s and lows in the upper 40s.
