FACULTY POSITION IN CANCER EPIGENETICS

The Fox Chase Cancer Center invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of ASSISTANT, ASSOCIATE, and/or full PROFESSOR in the Cancer Epigenetics Program. While outstanding candidates working in all areas of epigenetics are invited to apply, we particularly solicit applications from candidates with interests in transcriptional regulation in cancer and epigenetic-based treatment of malignancies. The successful applicant will join a highly interactive group of scientists in the outstanding basic and translational science community at Fox Chase. Applicants should have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and an outstanding record of research productivity. Responsibilities include maintenance of an externally funded research program as well as teaching and mentoring of postdoctoral fellow and students.

Fox Chase was among the nation’s first institutions to receive Comprehensive Cancer Center designation from the NCI in 1974, and its 119 research faculty bring in a total of $63.2 Million in research funding. The Center provides care for over 105,000 outpatient visits each year, supported by 172 clinical trials, of which 67 are investigator-initiated. Two particular highlights of the Center are the superb clinical trials pipeline that allows the rapid translation of basic science discoveries into the clinic, and world-class core facilities. The application should include a curriculum vitae, a brief (up to two-page) statement of research interests and future goals, a list of three individuals providing letters of recommendation, and should be sent to: Jonathan Chernoff, Scientific Director, Fox Chase Cancer Center; Email – Jonathan.Chernoff@fccc.edu
