Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje felicitated Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a visit to mark the commencement of work for the oil refinery in Rajasthan's Barmer district, along with Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan and others senior dignitaries. Earlier, he also had a look of the entire oil refinery project. The foundation stone of the oil refinery was laid by the then Congress president Sonia Gandhi four years ago. Rajasthan has significant reserves of oil and gas and the refinery will be the state's first. It is envisaged as a 9 MMTPA Refinery cum Petrochemical Complex.
