Sean Michael Dunston committed to SCI
Delaware State Police have arrested a Laurel man after he was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol for the fifth time.
The incident occurred on Sunday, Jan. 14, around midnight as a trooper was traveling westbound on South Pine Ridge Drive in Laurel, when a 1997 Dodge pick-up truck emerged from Chelsea Lane, pulling directly in the path of the trooper’s vehicle. A traffic stop was initiated and contact was made with the operator, identified as 39-year-old Sean Michael Dunston of Laurel.
An odor of alcohol was detected and a DUI investigation ensued. A computer check revealed that Dunston had four previous DUI convictions. Dunston was subsequently arrested and charged with fifth offense driving under the influence of alcohol, a felony. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $6000 cash-only bond.
