'I am ashamed' Ryan Giggs' dad blasts 'back-stabbing' son after Wales appointment

RYAN Giggs’ dad has lashed out at his “back-stabbing” son after his appointment as Wales boss.

Danny Wilson, 62, said Giggs is not “fit for the job” following his affair with brother Rhodri’s wife Natasha.

The ex-security guard told The Sun: “I can’t even bring myself to use his name – I refer to him as the ex-footballer.

“As the eldest he should have been watching his brother’s back – not stabbing him in it. He cheated in the worst possible way and is not man enough to apologise for it.”

Ryan’s eight-year affair with his brother’s then-wife Natasha, 35, emerged in 2011.

Danny added: “I should be the proudest dad in the world, as happy as a lark by what he’s achieved – but I am ashamed of him.

“He’s put himself first and all he cares about is his TV pundits and opening swanky hotels in Manchester. Now when I see him on the TV I switch off, all the family do.”

The Daily Star previously revealed that Rhodri, 40, has been left homeless after being “abandoned” by his millionaire brother.

Giggs allegedly told his brother that the affair which destroyed his life was only ever “about sex”, and has not shown any remorse.

Their dad Danny, 61, said: “If he would just apologise Rhodri could just move on but he hasn’t even apologised to him. He has been abandoned by his brother.”

Giggs was confirmed as Chris Coleman’s replacement yesterday after beating Craig Bellamy to the hotseat.

It's the Manchester United legend's first permanent job, after a caretaker spell in charge at United and two years spent as Louis van Gaal's assistant.
