Anemic shooting all game long plagued the Dickinson Trinity girls basketball team as the Titans fell to Kidder County 44-16 on Saturday, Jan. 13 at the Shiloh Christian Jamboree from the Bismarck Event Center.
Scoring just eight points in each half, the Titans (7-6) shot 17 percent from the field on 7-for-41 shooting, including 0-for-14 from the three-point line. They were outscored 30-8 in the second half.
Despite doubling the Skyhawks’ rebound total 38-19, Trinity committed 21 turnovers while Kidder County (9-3) turned it over just five times.
Skyhawks senior Grace Benz led all scorers with 18 points, shooting 4 of 5 from 3-point range. Freshman forward Abbey Kubas led the Titans with eight points and nine rebounds.
