Suspect shot, killed by Bedford police officer in residential neighborhood

A suspect was fatally shot Tuesday morning by a police officer in a residential neighborhood, police said.

The name of the male suspect had not been released as of 7:30 a.m.

No officers were injured.

The shooting occurred about 4:30 a.m. after police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in a grocery store parking lot.

Officers were dispatched to the Albertsons, 1300 Airport Freeway, but the suspect drove away from officers.

Police located the suspect's vehicle in the 600 block of Hurst Drive.

The shooting occurred at that location.

Police did not release any other details.
