But what happened in a restaurant in Newark city is New Jersey is sure to shock you. A massive brawl broke out at a pizza restaurant over a missing iPhone that eventually turned out to have been in the lost and found the whole time. The incident occurred on January 13 at John’s Incredible Pizza Company in Newark’s NewPark Mall. Police were called in to control the situation after violence erupted.

The incident reportedly started after a girl realised that her phone was missing, and approached a group check if they had seen it. However, things escalated quickly into total chaos with two large groups of people exchanging blows and screaming at each other. A video of the incident has surfaced online and went viral in no time. NBC Bay Arena reports that the Newark police officers had to call in officers from the Fremont Police Department for help because of the size of the brawl. The fight was eventually broken up with only minor injuries, and no arrests were made. After this, the officers began to investigate the incident. Meanwhile, the restaurant’s manager found that the missing phone had been sent to the ‘lost and found’ hours earlier! The Daily Mail reports that the girl who lost her phone had tried to locate it using the Find My iPhone app. The device was a floor above in the lost and found.

A video of the incident was shared on Facebook by Nicole Davis, who said that she had taken his kids to “John’s Incredible Pizza in Fremont tonight and it really went down in the buffet line smh.” The video has received close to 5000 shared and 4 lakh views. The girl’s mother claimed that they were attacked for simply asking if the group had seen the phone. A man who works at the restaurant identified himself as Drake Lynn and said that he saw two women arguing before it escalated into a physical fight. “Their boyfriends, or males who they were with, backed them up, and then they started throwing punches, and then their friends started throwing punches, and they started throwing punches at other parties that were there,” Lynn said. About 20 people were involved in the fight, reportedly.
