Countdown for Mission 2019 has begun: Delhi BJP chief

The BJP's unit on Tuesday said it had launched the partys Mission 2019 by highlighting what he called the misgovernance of the Party (AAP) government in the national capital.

"The party's Executive meeting should be treated as the beginning of the countdown to the 2019 general elections," Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) told reporters here after the two-day meeting.

"We will move across the city to highlight the AAP government's misgovernance," he said.

Tiwari, who represents the northeast constituency of in the Lok Sabha, also attacked the government for "not fulfilling its poll promises".

"The government came to power by promising to regularise unauthorised colonies in But today, residents of these colonies feel cheated as the government has not done one work to benefit them," he alleged.

"The BJP will strive to provide all amenities to unauthorised colonies here and, if needed, will petition the Centre to amend the Constitution accordingly," he said.

Tiwari also urged for central funds for the development of unauthorised colonies.

Slamming the for its alleged failure to notify 351 roads, he said: "Even after completing three years in power, the has asked for more time for the purpose.

Tiwari said that was unable to fulfil even one per cent of the 70 promises his paty made to the people of during the assembly elections.

"Over 225 homeless people have died but the government has remained mute," he said.
