MARQUETTE — The Sault High swimming and diving team competed in the Marquette Splash and Dash Saturday.
Sault High’s Aliah Robertson set a pair of meet records. The Sault freshman won the 50 yard butterfly in 27.45 and also took first in the 50 yard breaststroke in a record 31.57.
Leevi Olson won the 50 yard freestyle in 23.11 and he was fourth in the 50 breaststroke. Andrew Innerebner took second in the 100 yard IM and second in the 50 butterfly.
Innerebner, Olson, Basil Mansfield and Conner Habusta took fourth in the 200 free relay. Mansfield also placed sixth in 50 breaststroke.
Melanie Alshab, Madelyn Swanson, Aliyah Robertson and Torye Anderson took sixth in 200 medley relay.
Swanson, Anderson, Marina Slater, and Robertson placed seventh in the 200 free relay.
Torye Anderson placed third in girls diving. Conner Habusta was fifth to lead the Sault in boys diving.
No team scores were kept at the Splash and Dash competition.
"I am very proud of the job the kids did,” Sault High coach Steve Habusta said. “I saw a lot of them put the little things in we worked on all week in practice.
"Our mantra all week was ‘proper preparation produces powerful performances' and my swimmers did a great job proving this.”
Sault High is scheduled to compete at Manistique Wednesday night.
