Around 61 percent of dual play fixed internet plans sold in Mexico came with download speeds above 10 Mbps at the end of October 2017, according to a report from telecom regulator IFT. The watchdog found that 26 percent of the 23 plans analysed in the survey offered 20 Mbps-plus speeds, while 30 percent came with download speeds between 10 Mbps and 20 Mbps, 22 percent between 4 Mbps and 10 Mbps, with 22 percent offering speeds below 4 Mbps. The watchdog also pointed out that all the plans come with free calls to the US and Canada.

In the triple play section, the survey found that 8 in 10 of the plans come with unlimited calls to mobile numbers, rising to 100 percent of quad play plans. Additional findings include the fact that 73 percent of plans only offer SD channels while just 2 operators offer plans with over 100 channels.
