“Vessel carrying 22,000 metric tonnes of fertiliser has arrived”

A vessel carrying 22,000 metric tonnes of fertiliser from Bahrain, has arrived in the country.

Chairman of the Ceylon Fertilizer Company, Roshan Waduge, said the consignment has been sent to a laboratory for inspection.

He added, steps will be taken to expedite the distribution of fertiliser among farmers and that 400 employees and 200 lorries have been dispatched.
