Shreveport Police have arrested a local woman following a domestic dispute that led to a stabbing in west Shreveport on Monday.

Just before noon, Shreveport Police responded to the 4200 block of Twig Circle on reports of a stabbing. Officers arrived and located 27-year-old Rashad Davis suffering from a non-life threatening stab wound to the neck. He was transported to University Health Hospital for treatment.

Police learned that Rashad Davis and his mother, Sarah Davis, 49, of the 4200 block of Twig Circle, engaged in a heated dispute that allegedly led to Sarah arming herself with a sharp object and stabbing Rashad in the neck.

Sarah Davis fled the scene on foot but was taken into custody a short time later in the 6600 block of Kennedy Drive. She was subsequently booked into the Shreveport City jail on one count of aggravated battery.
