Rockland High senior Zach Sharland is making his last year count, as he poured in 32 points to lead his team to an 80-61 boys basketball victory over Duxbury on Monday.
The Bulldogs (7-2) also received a boost from seniors Aiden Glennon (16 points) and Jude Bain (12 points).
The Green Dragons (2-7) were led by Patrick Melampy (20 points).
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Rockland 60, Hingham 27: Rockland (10-1, 6-0) qualified for the postseason tournament behind Erika Ochenduszko (19 points), Caroline Elie (17 points, five steals) and Danielle O’Brien (16 points, five steals).
BOYS HOCKEY
Southeastern 5, Cape Cod Tech 0: Tied 0-0 going into the third period, Southeastern scored five goals in the final frame.
Kyle Burns, PJ Page, Joe Murphy, Dan Munro and Matt Lavoie all scored for the Hawks (9-2). Ryan O’Connell made 52 saves to earn the shutout.
Brockton 3, Newton North 1: The Boxers (4-4-1) received goals from Zack Sylvia, Peyton Sylvia and Frank Aten. Jalen Bridges and Aten also added assists, while goalie Nathan Petti had 18 saves.
Pembroke 4, Bridgewater-Raynham 1: Pembroke sophomore Mike Martin made 29 saves in picking up the win in his first varsity start.
Scoring for the Titans (3-7-1) in the non-league road victory were senior Chazz Wright (goal, assist), senior Joe Ward, sophomore Pat Moran and junior Zak Duchini.
Walpole 3, Oliver Ames 1: The Tigers’ lone goal was scored by junior Adam Lyons, with Rory Madden and Brett Williams assisting. Sophomore Owen Connor was strong in net with 23 saves.
Lowell Catholic 11, Cardinal Spellman 1: Anthony Nardelli scored the lone goal for the Cardinals (1-8, 1-4). Michael Bowen and Matt Cahill picked up assists, while goalie Zachary Richards had 30 saves.
GIRLS HOCKEY
Archbishop Williams 4, Weymouth 1: MacKenzie Heath had a goal and two assists and Hannah Bell and Ava Brady each added goals to propel the Bishops (7-2) over the Wildcats (2-6-1). Goaltender Ali DelMonte made 23 saves for Williams.
GYMNASTICS
Oliver Ames 139.2, Taunton 119.95: Hannah Moynihan led the Tigers (5-0) with an impressive score of 36.15 in the all-around, 9.1 on vault, 9.2 on bars and 9.0 on floor. Gianna Martucci placed second in the all-around with a 34.95. Lauren Picanzi scored a 9.1 on bars. Charis MacCuish, Tina O'Neill, Ashlyn Latham and Kiara Nagle also contributed to the win.
