Is shopping your middle name? Head to Mahalaxmi Saras for arts and handicrafts from all over the country

We all are proud of India’s rich cultural heritage and have an immense love for arts and handicrafts. To value the painstaking efforts and contributions of rural entrepreneurs and artisans the Maharashtra government organises Mahalaxmi Saras – an annual exhibition-cum-sale of handicrafts, handlooms and food products. The initiative, over the last decade, has introduced over 5,000 Self Help Groups from various corners of the country to the urban consumers. In its 15th year, Mahalaxmi Saras 2018 will be held between January 17 and 29 at MMRDA Grounds in Bandra.

Mahalaxmi Saras is a place where you can shop till you drop without burning hole in your pockets. The place is power packed with goods that range from apparel to food products from Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Kashmir, and Assam, among others. Mahalaxmi Saras is not just about shopping it is also a platform for interaction and exchange of innovative ideas, developing skills and exploring traditional products. Not to forget the food stalls which allows you to gorge on delicacies of different cultures from different parts of the country.
