In the past, I have been a supporter of an outdoor swimming pool for the Village. However my support was based on developing an effective marketing plan to bring new resident property owners to the Village.
The so-called Master Plan will be doomed from the start by wasting money on under funding the demolition of the old pool and construction of a new, inadequate pool that will always be a negative financial cost. Ineffective marketing will insure the pool will have no value. This pool project, however will be an insignificant cost versus the proposed Town Center. As pointed out by several past letters, the whole concept is ridiculous based on our topography and rural location.
The Village has many outstanding assets that make it an unbelievable place to live and retire. Let’s use our talents and monies to develop a productive marketing strategy to sell this remarkable Village to the outside world.
