MSC Southeast offers scholarships for high-demand career programs

Employers in the region are asking for skilled, well-educated employees in manufacturing, health care and information technology. A new scholarship program has been developed to encourage students get a college education in these fields.

Thanks to the Minnesota Workforce Development Scholarship program, Minnesota State College Southeast will be able to award $2,500 scholarships to 16 qualifying students who are starting college in fall 2018. The deadline to apply for the scholarship is March 1.

These scholarships are targeted to new students entering college in high-growth, high-demand careers. While scholarships are intended to recruit new high school grads, students such as adults re-entering the workforce or changing careers, are also eligible.
