Nimrat undergoes obstacle training
Actress Nimrat Kaur has been on a rigorous training spree for roughly a year for the role of the forthcoming edition of the ALTBalaji web series The Test Case.
“There was never any room for faltering because I knew physically if I can't get into a mould that needs me to do justice to what Captain Sharma can attempt, then mentally I won't be able to associate with her character. It takes a different kind of discipline and that is something I will cherish forever. It was very important to stay true to the physicality of what the girl needs to be like. It has been a journey of blood, sweat and tears.” The actress essays the role of Captain Shikha Sharma, the first woman combat officer, who struggles to carve out her own identity.
‘If I were to say which stream is demanding physically, I would say television is a little more challenging because there are deadlines, telecast pressures and it also depends on the feedback of the audience. So TV would be more demanding physically as a medium.’

‘Actress Jessica Chastain is planning to step back from acting and is keen to direct in future.
“Every day I feel like there is something new I have never imagined I'd be doing. If I think about anything interesting in the future, I may step back to produce more and probably even direct. I'm interested in taking the light that has shone on me without feeling like sacrificing anything because in reality this world is bigger than what my dream was,” said Chastain.
Reaser all for diversity
Actress Elizabeth Reaser appreciates the growing diversity in Hollywood, but says that it is “clearly not where we need to be and we have a long way to go.
“I think we can do better. Diversity is a huge problem. We are casting people of colour, more people of colour are getting to tell stories, getting into light and directing but it is clearly not where we need to be and we still have a long way to go”.
The actress has been a part of projects like Twilight, The Good Wife and Ouija: Origin of Evil.
On her love for the supernatural genre, she further added: “I love this genre. I love these kinds of stories, anything from supernatural to vampires and ghosts. Right now I am working on a really intense ghost story.”
