Stillman College senior Rafael Adams was named the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday, Jan. 15. It is his first career A.I.I. Player of the Week honor.

Adams, a 6-foot-10 forward from Foley, averaged 18.3 points and 13.3 rebounds while leading 17th-ranked Stillman (16-3) to a 3-0 week, Jan. 8-14. He shot 56.8 percent (25-of-44) from the floor during the three games and 80 percent from the free throw line, while adding 11 assists, eight blocked shots and four steals.

Adams is ranked No. 8 in NAIA Division II for total rebounds per game (10.11) and defensive rebounds per game (7.11).

The Association of Independent Institutions includes NAIA Division II men's basketball institutions that are not members of an NAIA-affiliated conference.
