Maha cops bust traffickers' gang, recover 6 children

| | Mumbai

The Thane police on Monday claimed to have busted a child lifting racket on Monday, with the recovery of six children  — including a four-hour-old baby boy abducted from a district civil hospital— and arrest of three persons, including a couple.

Less than 24 hours after the theft of male toddler from the labour ward of the Thane civil hospital, the crime branch sleuths of the Thane police traced the child to a residence at Pisavli village near Kalyan, where they found not just the male child spirited away from district hospital but also five more children abducted from other places.

The investigators identified the 3 arrested persons as Goodiya Sonu (35) who had allegedly abducted four-hour-old baby from Thane civil hospital, Vijay Kailash Srivatsava (55 years) and Sonu Parushuram Rajbhar (40).
