Connelly deflected a shot in from the point by sophomore defenseman Gianna Cameron.
The Panthers dominated the game, outshooting Brookline, 43-15, in the game.
Franklin hosts Dedham on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in a non-league game at Pirelli Veterans Memorial Rink.
WELLESLEY 3, LONGMEADOW 0: Sophomore Liddy Schultz recorded her third shutout in the row and sixth of the season to help Wellesley (8-2-1) to a non-league win over Longmeadow at the Babson Skating Rink.
Senior captain Phoebe Lawrence scored the game-winner in the first period off an assist from senior captain Elise Coakley.
Sophomore Mackenzie O’Neil scored the Raiders’ second goal off assists from Lawrence and senior Jenna Harrison.
Freshman Bliss Vernon scored the game’s final tally off an assist from senior Katie Hawkinson.

MILLIS-HOPEDALE 7, ASHLAND 2: Sophomore P.J. Gray and senior Aidan Wilde both tallied three goals and one assist each to power Hopedale-Millis (5-6) to a victory over non-league opponent Ashland (5-3-2).
Ashland junior defensmen Jackson Hornung and Jack Merrill both had goals in the loss.
Hopedale-Millis hosts Northbridge on Saturday at 4 p.m.
Ashland visits Medfield on Thursday at 8:30 p.m.
GROTON-DUNSTABLE 4, WESTBOROUGH 2: Junior Kevin Flahive scored a goal 1:09 into the contest but Westborough (5-3-2) fell to Groton-Dunstable in a non-league contest.
Freshman Drew Lewis-Kaddy had the other score for the Rangers. Patrick Riley got his first career start in goal and made 20 saves on 23 shots, with the fourth goal from G-D being an empty-netter.
Westborough next plays Auburn on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
CENTRAL CATHOLIC 5, LINCOLN-SUDBURY 1: Junior Aidan Rogers scored the lone goal for Lincoln-Sudbury (8-3) in a non-league loss to Central Catholic.
Sophomore Johnny Oblak added the assist for the Warriors.
L-S was up 1-0 after the first period and trailed 2-1 after two before allowing three goals (one empty-netter) in the final frame.
The Warriors next face North Andover at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at New England Sports Center in Marlborough.

MEDFIELD 54, LINCOLN-SUDBURY 39: Defending Division 2 state champion Medfield rolled past visiting Lincoln-Sudbury (4-4) in a non-league game.
Boys Basketball
DOVER-SHERBORN 60, AUBURN 43: Junior forward Brett Stark scored 22 points, including 17 in the first half, to power Dover-Sherborn (5-6) to a win over non-league foe Auburn.
Raiders junior Cam Raycroft tallied 14 points and junior guard John Muckstadt was a standout on defense in the win.
D-S led 34-19 at halftime.
“Brett [Stark] hit a last-second layup to close out the first half,” D-S coach Rick Grady said. “He took a feed from Raycroft and drove to the basket.”
D-S next faces Bellingham on the road at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
ASSABET 69, HOPEDALE 56: Junior Gerry McManus scored a game-high 26 points, including six 3-pointers, to lead Assabet (7-1) to a victory over Hopedale (4-4) in a non-league matchup.
Hopedale senior guard Charlie Swift added 12 points in the loss.
Assabet next visits Parker Charter on Friday at 6:30 p.m..

BC HIGH 80, HOLLISTON 47: Senior Ryan Benco had a team-high 10 points but Holliston (3-5) fell to BC High in an MIAA exclusion game, which doesn’t count on the Panthers' record.
Sophomore Topher Ryan added eight points in the loss for the Panthers.
Holliston hosts Hopkinton on Friday at 6:30 p.m.

MEDFIELD-ASHLAND-DOVER-SHERBORN 145.05, MILLIS-HOLLISTON-MEDWAY 141.55: Senior Sophia Cutler scored a 9.4 on floor and a 9.5 on beam to help Medfield-Ashland-Dover-Sherborn to a win over Millis-Holliston-Medway.
M-H-M senior Carson Cronin had the top score on vault (9.7) and bars (9.5), and tied Cutler from MADS on floor with a 9.4.
M-H-M junior Sarah Gelli scored a 9.35 on vault while Meghan White had a 9.35 on floor for MADS.
It was the top team score of the season for M-H-M.
M-H-M next competes on Friday against Franklin at All-Around Gymnastics in Plainville at 7:30 p.m.
FRANKLIN 130.65, CANTON 105.50: Senior captain Liz Traphagen won the all-round with a total score of 34.7 to lead Franklin (3-1, 3-1 HL) in a Hockomock League victory at Canton.
Traphagen finished first in the beam (8.75), bars (8.65) and floor (9.2), and second on the vault (8.1).
Junior Sadie Rondeau finished second in the all-around with 30.6 and placed second on the beam with an 8.5 for the Panthers.
Franklin hosts North Attleborough and Millis/Holliston/Medway in a tri-meet on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at All-Around Gymnastics in Plainville.
GROTON-DUNSTABLE 129.85, WESTBOROUGH 129.45: Junior Caitlyn Johnson was first on vault with an 8.55 as Westborough (0-6) just barely lost to Groton-Dunstable.
Johnson placed second in the floor routine with a score of 8.7 and also finished second on beam with a score of 8.1 for the Rangers.
Sophomore Cecilia Goetz placed third on vault (8.4), third on bars (7.8), third on beam (7.9) and second on floor with an 8.7.
Westborough next hosts Marlborough on Jan. 23.
Boys Swimming
WAYLAND REMAINS PERFECT: Sean Devlin and Edmond Giang were double winners as host Wayland (15-0) swept a non-league quad by defeating Nantucket (98-85), Mystic Valley (99-84) and Austin Prep (98-82).
Devlin won the 50- and 100-yard freestyles, and Giang finished first in the 200 IM and 100 butterfly.
Other first-place finishers for Wayland were Danny Nee (100 backstroke), Jiming Xu (100 breaststroke) and Sam Cahaly (diving).
Wayland next competes at Bedford in a Dual County League meet on Thursday at 4 p.m.
Girls Swimming
WARRIORS SWEEP QUAD MEET: Eva Alshannikova won the 200-yard individual medley as Wayland (11-3) defeated visiting Nantucket (98-88), Mystic Valley (97-86) and Austin Prep (94-75) in a non-league quad meet.
Hilla Almog won the diving event and Rosie Kiefer finished first in the 100 breaststroke for the Warriors.
Wayland next competes at Bedford in a Dual County League meet on Thursday at 4 p.m.

MEDFIELD 80, ASHLAND 6; BELLINGHAM 64, ASHLAND 22: Senior Brandon Barker won the 600 meters with a time of 1:34.1 to pace Ashland (0-6, 0-6 TVL), but the Clockers fell to Bellingham (1-4, 1-4 TVL) and Medfield in a Tri-Valley League tri-meet.
Senior Kevin Brynes finished second in the 55 dash (7.39) and second in the 300 (41.28) in the loss.
Ashland next visits Westwood on Jan. 24 at 3:30 p.m.
Bellingham visits Dover-Sherborn on Jan. 23 at 3:30 p.m.
Girls Indoor Track
MEDFIELD 54, ASHLAND 32; ASHLAND 63, BELLINGHAM 18: Junior Elena Pellegrini finished first in the 55-meter dash with a time of 8.56 and won the 300 (44.28) as Ashland (1-5, 1-5 TVL) beat Bellingham (0-5, 0-5 TVL) but lost to Medfield in a Tri-Valley League tri-meet.
Ashland junior Natalie Seurman placed first in the shot put (24-10.25) and junior Heather Turner won the 600 in a time of 1:51.
Ashland next visits Westwood on Jan. 24 at 3:30 p.m.
Bellingham visits Dover-Sherborn on Jan. 23 at 3:30 p.m.
