Indian Institute of Management-Visakhapatnam (IIMV) has partnered with the IIM- Bangalore by signing a MoU to promote nationwide women startup programme.
IIMV’s participation is expected to facilitate the growth of women entrepreneurs by providing in-depth training to foster and augment managerial and entrepreneurial skills through mentoring, incubation and financial support.
The initiative launched recently is funded by Goldman Sachs and the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
The programme aims at imparting training to over 12,000 women by offering massive open online course ‘Do Your Venture’ during January 22-March 3 and hold a bootcamp.
Nearly 300 ventures will be short-listed for a bootcamp.
According to a release by IIMV, another bootcamp will be conducted for 100 women entrepreneurs to be selected for a second camp at IIMB. Post bootcamp of holding classes for 100 entrepreneurs, their business ideas will be incubated at a partner-campus of their choice for one year duration with financial support.
