LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Roads remained slick on this Martin Luther King Day morning, and a winter weather advisory was in effect through 1 p.m., with up to another 1 to 2 inches possible on top of the 2 to 4 that fell across the Lafayette region overnight.
The Indiana Department of Transportation’s road advisory site showed most major roads around Lafayette and West Lafayette as hazardous or difficult to navigate.

Among schools scheduled to have class on the holiday, Tippecanoe School Corp. announced schools would close because of the snow.
The National Weather Service said to expect high winds today, with wind chill values as low as minus-1 degree. Snow was expected end by 1 p.m.
