Chennai, January 15: Tamil actor Kamal Haasan is all set to begin his debut tour across the state from January 26 against corruption. He is also to launch a whistle-blower app Maiyam Whistle this month which is aimed at encouraging and enabling citizens to expose corruption in the state.

“From the 26th (of this month), my journey to meet people will start. The complete schedule will be available in the next issue of Ananda Vikatan,” he said during an awards function, NDTV reported.

Haasan had said that when it comes to taking the political plunge, he does not fear failure as it will not be something like making money for another movie. He had said that the entire idea of joining politics is only about working for the betterment of his state, Tamil Nadu.

“For me, there is no fear of failure because this is not about movie making. This is not even about money making. It is about making ourselves better and I am going to be one of those instruments,” Haasan had said.

On November 7, 2016, Haasan launched a mobile app that will enable him to connect with the people. “The aim would be to reach out to people with the help of this app,” Haasan has said.
