Chelsea manager Antonio Conte looks increasingly likely to be sacked at Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, according to Guardian journalist Dominic Fifield.
Conte guided the Blues to the Premier League title last season but has endured a difficult second season as they sit fourth in the table.
"There is a growing acceptance that Antonio Conte is probably not going to be at Chelsea next season," Fifield said on the Sunday Supplement.
“And at some point that will impact upon the squad and players' performances. We have seen this before with Chelsea.
“[Former Chelsea boss] Carlo Ancelotti was a dead man walking for six months really, and he was sacked on the final day of the season."

Chelsea have reportedly set their sights on Barcelona's Denis Suarez as a replacement for the out-of-favour Michy Batshuayi.
"Chelsea have been looking to add more firepower since the summer window,” Ian McGarry said on the latest episode of The Transfer Window podcast.
“[Suarez is] a player they (Barcelona) let go with a buy-back clause and because he was playing so well in La Liga they did buy him back.
"He made an instant impression but has since fallen out of favour and is available for transfer.
"He's very much in the mould of Barcelona’s current attacking midfielders such as Willian, Pedro and Eden Hazard - not an out-and-out striker but certainly someone who can get goals."
Eden Hazard next club odds

Real Madrid have been offered the chance to sign Chelsea forward Eden Hazard by the player’s agent, according to reports in Spain.
The La Liga giants are long-term admirers of the Belgian, who has been heavily linked with a move away from Chelsea after turning down a new contract.
And Spanish outlet Don Balon claim Real have been given the chance to sign the 27-year-old this month.
Zinedine Zidane’s side are reportedly looking for reinforcements in attack, with Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale all struggling this season.
Another player offered to Real is Bayern Munich hitman Robert Lewandowski, the report adds.
