Is it the same scale as the tie fighter? I sense a secondary purchase...
The TIE fighter is the UCS one but not done to a different scale.
TIEs are relatively titchy.
Lego and Star Wars combined; how to make an old man happy.
Number 1 son, now 31, has Death Star and the UCS TIE fighter - not bought by me; I'm contemplating whether I should get him the UCS Millennium Falcon.
It's not a question of affording it; it's more about justifying it but, having said that, STW is full of people justifying all sorts of extravagant purchases for themselves so - I think I've just confirmed to myself that I can justify it!
EDIT - he also has original version of Millennium Falcon

More build pics to come, as and when!
Ah christ, that's awesome!
Sorry, I'll wipe that up.
Appreciate the build pics, BTW.
Bit of a PSA, the 911 GT3 RS is 25% off on the Lego site today, good if you’ve vip points to use up...
(Still haven’t finished/progressed much with the falcon...)
Nope, tell us more on quality etc...

Or you could have just told us the answer
I don't know - not bought any - just saw it last weekend so thought i'd pop it on here.
Saving 500 quid seems like a plan to me!!

The ‘falcon’ has 2500, 30%, fewer pieces than the genuine one.
Based on my experience with not lego Lego, the instructions will be difficult to follow, and it won’t have all the bits it says it does. (Bought for me, not by me, I might add...)
The orange Porsche is 25% off today to VIP members.
There is the larger version on the aliexpress site: Falcon 8445 pieces Just under £180.
I must admit to buying a Wall-E off there and the quality was very good. The instructions where about half size compared to Lego's, but looked near identical otherwise.
I did come across a few comments that the Lepin items are actually produced by Lego in China, but who knows?

Same as all the Oakley sunnies, real and fake, are all made in the same factory?
The only comment I have about the Falcon is that the locating and fitting of some of the removable top panels is a bit clunky and insecure, which was a surprise considering how solidly the Saturn 5 locks together.
Other than that, tres cool.

I was showing off my Saturn V to a mate a few weeks back. I picked it up and said "it's surprisingly robust..." and at that exact moment the third stage popped off the rest of the model, hit the coffee table and burst into a hundred pieces.
The Lepin stuff I've seen has been fantastic quality... And while a lot of it is direct copies others are unique, original kits. But bootLego is a line I'd not want to cross myself, maybe that makes me a mug who'll buy overpriced plastic but a big part of it is the direct line to childhood...

Did something similar the other day. Damage was minimal luckily.
Porsche is £186 inc. postage and in stock on very.co.uk. Possibly cheaper elsewhere - that's just a quick scan.
The points from the LEGO website would be worth almost a tenner, so still a good deal if you regularly buy stuff from there or from a store. It's a cool set, although I've gone off Technic a bit now so will be able to resist!
Have been wanting the Technic CLAAS XERION 5000 for a while but resisted when it was a good price on John Lewis.
One of my favourite guitarists who does a lot of YouTube stuff got the Falcon and did a timelapse of the build
