Kumkum Bhagya celebrates the 1000 today. Kumkum Bhagya and Kundali Bhagya have a combined episode today. The episode starts with a distraught Preeta(Shraddha Arya) remembering her times with Karan(Dheeraj Dhoopar), all the fights they have had and all the laughter they shared. She cries on as she thinks that whenever she was in trouble Karan always ran in for her help. She thinks that Kareena is right in blaming her, she decides to help him at all costs. Karan talks to his jail mates about his selection for t20 and also is proud to play for his country. Karan tells them that he smiles for this reason alone. Preeta decide that Karan will definitly play for the country. She walks into the station as Karan looks at her and makes fun of her. He asks her why she is getting so sad for her.He tries to make her smile but she refuses to smile. Karan keeps talking on and on about cricket and practice. Preeta is disturbed as she thinks that she cannot tell Karan that he has been dismissed. She walks away saying she will end this all. Preeta walks in to the inspector and says that Karan is not the culprit and she is. The inspector resists from believing her and she makes a story that she needed to deposit a huge amount for Kumkum Bhagya hall and she was desperate for money.
The inspector who knows that Preeta is innocent tries to make her understand that she would get herself into good trouble but then Preeta instigates him saying he is looking for publicity by arresting a huge cricketer. The inspector falls for it and arrests Preeta. Karan is released and he is told that the real culprit is arrested. Karan is angry as he walks to see who the culprit is. Karan is shocked to Preeta getting arrested. He starts screaming and Srishti too walks in right then. The inspector throws out the two of them and takes Preeta away. Abhi(Shabbir Ahluwalia) sits upset as the family discusses his concert. Pragya(Sriti Jha) walks in and Abhi forbids her from sitting with his family for dinner. He also forbids her from attending his concert. Tanu and Aliya are elated that they do not have to work very hard. Simonicka is happy that now no one will be able to save Abhi. Pragya asks Purab and Disha to take care of Abhi for the concert as she will not be there.. Purab promises to do that for her.
Srishti lashes out at Sarla for letting Preeta go to jail. She says that Sarla believed everybody but her daughter and forced her to go to jail. Srishti is inconsolable as she asks Sarla why she have to be so stern. Kareena is asking Sherlin to make something for the family. Rakhi is inconsolable as she runs to the door to get Karan and Karan walks in. The family celebrates Karan’s return as Sherlin says that she knew Rishabh’s lawyer will save him. Karan corrects her and says that police have got the real culprit. He says that it is Preeta shocking Rishabh(Manit Joura). Kareena says that Preeta was faking goodness. Karan then tells the family how Preeta forced them to take her in. Sherlin happily calls Prithvi to tell him about Preeta taking the drug possession blame on herself. Prithvi is elated and Sherlin is happy that now Prithvi does not have to marry Preeta. Pragya helps Abhi wear a good jacket but he refuses to take her help. Later though he is forced to wear the jacket she gets for him as he wonders how she does that all the time. Pragya gets her Dadi’s call and tells her that Preeta is in jail. Pragya asks her not to worry and that she would soon get Preeta out of jail.
Pragya thinks about it a little as she wonders if she should be doing this as she was acting to be Munni. Later though she decides that her mother needs her and walks to help. Pragya meets her mother and Sarla tries to lie to her about Preeta. Pragya scolds Sarla for trying to hide from her. Pragya tells her that if she is a good wife and daughter she also is a good sister. Pragya meets Srishti and they have a very emotional reunion. Preeta remembers Karan while sitting in jail. Sherlin walks there to meet her and taunts her for being in jail. Pragya and Sherlin walks up at the exact moment and here her speaking to Preeta. Pragya is updated by Srishti about Sherlin. Pragya makes Sherlin fall and warns her to stay away from her sister. Sherlin calls Prithvi and says that she is feeling sacred of Pragya who appears to be smarter. Prithvi decides to teach Pragya a lesson. Preeta gets emotional to meet Pragya.
Pragya asks Preeta about what happened and Preeta tells her all. Pragya decides to recheck for the CCTV. Abhi calls Rishabh and asks him to come for the concert with Karan. Pragya reaches the club and checks for the cctv room. She comes to know about how someone came searching for the cctv room. Pragya reaches the cctv room to find Karan there already and attacking the cctv incharge. Pragya calms Karan and they decide to work together. Pragya calls all her NGO lady friends. Pragya tells Karan that they need to make others fights for his and Preeta’s truth. She has also called some media. She starts giving a press conference. Karan joins her and the luthra family watches all on TV. Sherlin is informed about this by Kareena. They watch the conference and Pragya and Karan present before the media a security incharge. Prithvi is shaken to see the security incharge. Subhash calls Prithvi and says that eh is going to confess. Prithvi asks him to say that he has a back up footage. Prithvi decides to save themselves at all costs.
Rishabh comes to meet Preeta who is worried about Pragya’s security. Preeta tries to lie to Rishabh but he sees through her lie and tells her that like him she too does not know how to lie. Rishbah tells her how they all were happy for Kraan but when they came to know about her they felt sad. Rishabh tells Preeta that Pragya has managed to expose the security guard and that Karan is with her. Preeta is relieved to hear that Karan is with her and Rishabh feels a bit sad to see that. Prithvi walks in right then says that he has the footage and that the security was lieing. He traps the security guard and saves Karan and Preeta for a while. Sherlin sits very angry and vows to destroy the trio and also teach Pragya a lesson. Srishti is still furious with Sarla. Pragya walks in with Preeta. The family have some fun moments together. Pragya misses Bulbul amidst all of this. Pragya talks about Abhi’s concert and the sisters pull their elder sister’s leg over Abhi.
The mehra family get ready to go for the concert and they talk about Munni getting scolded. Dadi says that she was so hopeful about Munni actually being Pragya but Abhi destroyed it all for her. The Arora family celebrate together as Dadi is stuck on her cough syrup. Janki talks about Bulbul as Pragya gets all emotional. Pragya cries as Preeta consoles her and says that they would three be together always. Srishti says that she wants to be a part of Abhi’s concert. Preeta understands that something is wrong as she sees Pragya a little upset. Pragya decides to go. Preeta sees Pragya has left her bag. Khan chacha somehow manages to get out and takes a phone from a passer by and calls Pragya. Pragya sits crying at the door when she gets the call. Khan tells her about the bomb in the guitar. Preeta sees Pragya in the state and asks her. Pragya tells Preeta about the bomb. The three sisters go to the concert place so they can save Abhi.
Abhi reaches the concert place. Abhi asks Simonicka to hold the guitar as she is left stupefied. Simonicka thinks how she will protect the bomb so it can kill Abhi. Pragya tries to call Dadi but does not get through anyone’s number. Abhi forbids Dadi from taking Munni’s call. Purab asks Abhi to atleast talk to her as it might be important. Abhi forbids the guards from allowing Pragya inside. There are performances by all the zee stars one by one. Pragya tells Preeta and Srishti that she fought with Abhi and he asked her not to come for the concert. Pragya prays that tehy reach in time while Abhi prepares for the concert as he still misses Pragya. Abhi opens the guitar with the intention of playing it but Simonicka stops him. Karan and Rishabh are there and Abhi goes on the meet them. Karan is skeptical about the concert but Rishabh says that this is their way of thanking Pragya. Abhi hears this and is surprised at what Pragya wants to prove by doing this. Karan too performs onstage. Abhi is thoroughly confused regarding Pragya.
Pragya, Preeta and Srishti meet with an accident and have to leave the taxi. Disha has some intense feeling that something wrong is going to happen. Purab calms her down and says that Pragya is not here and that is why they have this feeling. Abhi walks out to perform but imagines Pragya and stops there as he hugs her in his imagination. Tanu and Aliya are irritated as they see Disha taking care of Dadi. Abhi reaches the stage as Simonicka watches expectantly. Pragya and Preeta run as Srishti follows. Abhi suddenly remembers Pragya as we see the much awaited Pragya and Abhi perform. Abhi is lost as he does not perform. Pragya and Preeta reach the gate but they are not allowed inside.
