In a 'retaliatory action' against Pakistani troops, the Indian Army killed seven of their soldiers and injured four others others along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district.
The action comes after the Pakistani army fired along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on Saturday killing an Indian soldier.
"Army has carried out retaliation against Pakistani troops across Jaglote area along the LoC in Mendhar sector of Poonch district", a senior Army officer told PTI.
"In the retaliatory action, there were seven fatal causalities to Pakistani troops and four others injured," he added.
5 JeM terrorists killed in Uri
Security forces have killed five Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists who were trying to enter India from Pakistan today.
Director General of Police S P Vaid said that the group of suicidal attacks were jointly killed in a joint operation by Jammu and Kashmir Police, army and paramilitary forces in the state's Uri sector.
"Five bodies recovered, sixth being searched," Vaid said in a tweet.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh even sent a congratulatory message to the security forces for the success of the operation.
