A Hamilton police constable who pleaded guilty to an assault charge back in June now faces a police act charge for discreditable conduct.

Const. Dennis Zivolak made an appearance at a hearing today as the police act discipline process begins.

The charge stems from an assault conviction last summer in Brantford. According to a Brantford Examiner report, Zivolak pleaded guilty in connection to a domestic incident.

He is scheduled to be back before the tribunal on Feb. 21 at 10 a.m.
