Local teenage bowler Alexandria Ford dialed in and dusted the pins with dynamic delivery to lead all female bowlers in last week’s city league action.
The 18-year-old Ford (Junior Pros) snapped off a high game of 235 and a high series of 620 at the Red Apple Center.
Her series score edged Renie Watters (Wednesday Mixers) by two pins for female supremacy.
But, Watters did boast the high game (211) for the women’s division.
However, the men’s division recorded the overall top scores.
Lucas Rutter (Wednesday Mixers) scattered the pins for the high game of 279, while Trey Ford III (Wednesday Mixers) carved out the high series of 773.
In the youth boys division, Jonah Kowalczyk (Junior Pros) went two-for-two — the high game (258) and high series (651).

The top scores of the Merchants League came down to a family affair. Tyler Crawford edged Tom Crawford, 276 to 267, for the league’s high game. Tyler also outlasted Travis Crawford for the high series, 730 to 728. … Rutter received plenty of push from Brycen Brinkman and Tyler Roush in the duel for first place in high game in the Wednesday Mixers. Rutter rolled his aforementioned 279, while Brinkman came in at 268 and Roush rolled 267. … Rutter and Roush also snapped off impressive series scores of 741 and 735, respectively, but couldn’t catch Trey Ford (773). … What a tussle for first place in the men’s division of Guys & Dolls. Only four pins separated the top three finishers — Tyrus Nelson, 267; Brent Wosel, 266; and Trey Ford, 263. Nelson also captured the league’s high series kudos, with 726. … Maxine Sanders swept both the high game (193) and high series (508) in the women’s division of Guys & Dolls. … In the Mad Cap Trio League at the Phillips 66 Lanes, Clint Hamilton swept the high game (248) and high series (610).
