A look ahead to the Premier League game at Old Trafford

Monday night could be the last Manchester United game without the No 7 shirt filled this season as Alexis Sanchez edges closer to his move from Arsenal after the Old Trafford club seemingly pipped their noisy neighbours Manchester City to his signing.

It is also the last time that Stoke City will be without a manager after Paul Lambert was appointed the club’s new manager on a two-and-a-half-year deal. The Scot will not take charge on Monday but will be in the stands watching his new team.

United will be looking to strike another blow to their rivals – should they sign Sanchez – by narrowing their lead at the top, following City’s defeat to Liverpool on Sunday.
