McDaniels, who interviewed for the head coaching vacancies in Chicago, Indianapolis and New York, has been linked to Tennessee. It now looks like he’ll have his choice between the head-coaching jobs of either the Titans or Colts.

For McDaniels, the appeal of the Titans job is obvious. He knows their general manager, Jon Robinson, who worked in the Patriots scouting department from 2002-to-2013. Tennessee also has a young quarterback, Marcus Mariota, and recently made the playoffs.

It looks like the Patriots could lose their two coordinators to teams with ties to the Patriots. On Monday, ESPN reported that defensive coordinator Matt Patricia was going to be the next head coach of the Detroit Lions. Patricia will join general manager Bob Quinn, who also received his NFL start with the Patriots scouting department and front office.

Now, McDaniels has the chance to join Robinson in Tennessee.

Whether he heads to the Titans or the Colts, it certainly looks like the Patriots will have some work to do filling coaching vacancies this offseason.
