Coronation Street fans 'don't remember' iconic star

CORONATION Street's Gray O'Brien appeared on Loose Women – but no one recognised him.

Gray O'Brien played Tony Gordon in the for three years from 2007.

He was a regular character in the ITV soap and was involved in huge storylines such as the murder of Liam Connor (Rob James-Collier).

Eventually in 2010, Tony was killed off when he perished in an Underworld factory fire.

Today, actor Gray joined the Loose Women cast to talk about his upcoming production – but viewers were seriously confused as to who he was.

The presenters quizzed the star on his Corrie days and he had a lot of beans to spill about life behind the screen.

The 49-year-old heartthrob confessed: "Those guys on that show… you're working 12 hour day, you've got your travel in and out, you've got make-up, and then you've got to go home at night and learn another 30 pages for the next day.

"It's really full on."

He also talked about how difficult it is to find work after appearing in a soap.

“I've never heard of Gray O'Brien until now on Loose Wome”

He started: "You can't be cast sometimes.

"Just because you're so synonymous with that character."

Gray added: "You pretty much can't be cast in television for a few years, which is fine because you need to get back to sanity really."

But viewers were completely dumbstruck by the star's presence, they flooded Twitter with questions.

One person tweeted: "I've never heard of Gray O'Brien until now on Loose Women. He is really good looking though."

"I don't remember Gray O’Brien in Corrie at all, though I do remember Liam," continued another.

A third joked: "I don't remember Gray O'Brien in anything since he left Corrie nearly 20 years ago."
