Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns are to confirm the signing of SuperSport United striker Jeremy Brockie on Monday.

The New Zealand international has been courted by Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane since before the start of the current season.

However, his goals have dried up for Matsatsantsa in recent months and with the Pretoria club admitting recently he may well depart, Brockie was not included in Sunday's league game against Golden Arrows, a 0-1 defeat.

According to an unnamed source quoted by the Citizen website on Monday morning, the deal could go through any time now.

"He was given a day off by SuperSport yesterday (Sunday) to conclude negotiations with Sundowns," said the source.

"Personal terms have been agreed and now what's left is for SuperSport and Sundowns to agree on the transfer fee."

The Brazilians need to get Brockie signed as quickly as possible if they hope to register him for the CAF Champions League as player registration closes on Monday, January 15.
