Lucknow, Jan 15: Congress President Rahul Gandhi has been compared to the almighty Gods ahead of his visit to his Lok Sabha constituency Amethi today. Posters portraying Rahul Gandhi as Lord Ram and Lord Krishna have surfaced in Amethi and Lucknow respectively ahead of the Congress chief’s visit.
A poster portraying Rahul Gandhi as Lord Ram and Prime Minister Narendra Modi as ‘demon’ king Ravana surfaced in Gauriganj in Amethi. In the poster Gandhi is seen carrying a bow and arrow, pointing towards Modi.
“Rahul ke roop mein bhagwan Ram ka Avtaar 2019 mein aayega Rahulraj (Ramrajya) (Rahul an incarnation of Lord Ram who will bring ‘Ram Rajya’ in 2019),” the poster says.
Another poster in Lucknow portrayed Rahul Gandhi as Lord Krishna, taking the Congress chariot to victory in Lok Sabha elections 2019.
Gandhi will be on a two-day visit to his Lok Sabha constituency beginning today and will reach Amethi via Rae Bareli. He is expected to receive a grand reception by party workers. He will also be visiting the Hanuman Mandir and eat khichdi, specially prepared for Makar Sankranti, say reports.
