Two snow events -- Monday and Wednesday -- are each expected to bring 2-4 inches to the Brockton area.
BROCKTON — Last week's rain caused almost all of the previous week's snow to wash away, but two more accumulating snow events are on the way.
Flurries are already falling in the Brockton region on Monday morning, which is one of two minor snowstorms expected this week.
Throughout Monday, ocean effect snow is expected in the Brockton area and on the South Shore, dropping about 2-4 inches of snow by midnight.
"The roads could get a little slippery," said Cindy Fitzgibbon, a meteorologist with The Enterprise's news media partner, WCVB-TV.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Monday.
"Two-to-four inches of snow could make for slippery conditions on untreated surfaces," the weather service wrote in a tweet. "Take your time commuting."
But more snow is on its way midweek.
"We are anticipating the next snowstorm to produce some widespread snowfall," Fitzgibbon said.
The Brockton area is expected to receive another 2-4 inches of snow which will begin early Wednesday morning and go throughout the day. Area just north of Boston and to its west could see 4-7 inches.
